According to the latest discussion, a weak tropical system might form in that area later this week:
GFS STILL DEVELOPS THE DISTURBANCE NEAR KOSRAE INTO A CIRCULATION
OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS...THEN BRINGS IT NEAR GUAM LATE
SUNDAY. BUT IT IS STILL WAY TOO EARLY TO GO FOR THIS...AND THIS
EARLY IN THE SEASON SUCH DEVELOPMENTS TEND TO STAY FURTHER SOUTH
AS SHOWN IN NOGAPS AND ECMWF. NEVERTHELESS...IT BEARS WATCHING
AS THIS SYSTEM COULD AT LEAST BRING INCREASED RAINFALL.
