That system in central africa really has good banding already for being inside the continent but of course when it arrives at western africa let's see as it sets it's feet in the water what it will do but we are now almost at CV season in it's prime so from now on all those impulses have to be watched to see which of them gets the ideal conditions to develop down the road.In front of the mega system there is another one in west africa ready to get off the coast although smaller compared to that one but looks interesting too.

To see the pic of the full disk of the african continent you have to register for (free) and here is the link to register.

For those who have not and/or do not wish to register, here's an alternative site to view ...

First of all, they don't make it that easy to register and second of all, why is there a registration for something that is free?

Can almost guarantee that there will be another SAL outbreak behind that large wave

Well Derek first let's see when the wave emerges and then if a sal outbreak is there behind.

Thanks Luis for another great link.

Look E of the MONSTER that is over the African continent out into the Indian Ocean. Looks like a twin sister coming up behind this one!

Derek, please explain your reasoning instead of making a bold statement without any back up. We all would like to know why you think the SAL will "bloom" again after the passage of this disturbance.

The wave over central Africa is one of the best looking this season. Yesterday, it even looked to be banding. It will be interesting to see its structure a day after it hits the water. I hope this one don't fizzle, I'm ready to track a CV storm.....MGC

I read on GOPBI - Joe B said this one wouldn't make it into the Atlantic - starts recurving - per his discussion someone posted.

Lets hope he's wrong on this one and it makes it it as CV storm.

Ticka, yes I guess there is a model showing this not coming off the African coast and heading North?. This will be interesting to see if that happens:)

Because if you check WV lopps ( seen them at HRD briefings), the dry air is moving SW, toward the Atlantic
