Hi Gustywind,
This is your friend from Trinidad. I posted on another thread my concern about 94L - this area is hard to define. I've seen conflicting co-ordinates [12.9N? 11N?]
Is there any real fix on this at the moment?
I'm concerned about the ITCZ flare at the lower latitudes - not necessarily for tropical development at this time - but because of the intense wind and rain that this may bring. Glad for any guidance on this. Thanx!

Hi my friend :D , good post, you have well resumed the synopsis , the situation is very confused for me in terms of location of 94L first , and second the ITCZ is putting troubles too.. and i have the latest info .. given METEO-FRANCE of Guadeloupe( and do not forget that we're in yellow alert in Guadeloupe, ST Marteen too, and Martinica at 11am )there's a complex perturbed area near the Lesser Antilles approaching the Lesser Antilles, added with numerous rainy systems, some are structured and actifs. I can't tell you much about that, confusion is the word for me, but in any case we should not let our guard down, something to monitor seriously in the next couple of hours....

This should be moved to the Active Storms folder.

Here is a report from a correspondant at Trinidad :Updates from the Islands -
- - Trinidad & Tobago Wow

From: "Dr. Lesel Ali-De Silva" <leselali at gmail.com>
Date: Sat, 23 Aug 2008 14:10:42 -0400
http://stormcarib.com/reports/current/trinidad.shtml

Wow! Between the blinding lightning, roaring thunder and vicious downpour. I'd say what you're seeing on the satellite is reflective of whats going on here. Just got word my uncle's roof just collapsed in Talparo. Trincity mall is under over one foot of water. As the heavens open up even more here in the west (and all over the country) I hope everyone lies low and keeps under cover! Going to unplug all my appliances now...

And another one from Grenada
Updates from the Islands
http://stormcarib.com/reports/current/grenada.shtml
- - Grenada - -
- 94L
From: "Mark and Jill" <email at grenadavilla.co.uk>
Date: Sat, 23 Aug 2008 16:59:20 -0400

We had an overcast afternoon until about half an hour ago, when the wind picked up and the rain came down. Lots of wind and lots of rain. It is coming around the door frames under the windows etc and the winds are well above the 30 knots or so we expected. So an evening watching TV ( if the power holds up ) and mopping up as required.

Curacao also had a tornado which destroyed 40 homes. No one hurt thankfully.
