Looks like Claudette is trending more NW now with her movement.
Any thoughts on some "explosive development" before she makes landfall tomorrow?
Given how I've seen some systems blow up shortly before hitting the Texas coast, I wonder .... (but hope it won't be the case).

On visible, she still seems to be inching nw or nnw and she now looks like a cane and not just a blob.

Maybe a bit of good news for Coastal Texas residents.....I've noticed the SW shear is increasing over Claudette (evidence of cirrus blowoff on the latest visible image). It may not be enough to keep Claudette below hurricane strength -- but might keep her sustained winds at 75 or 80 mph instead of 100 mph or more.
