what do you expect this august?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I believe we will have 4 tropical storms with 2 of them becoming hurricanes. Possibly one of them becoming a major.

I expect 2 tropical storms to come out of the cape verdes with two home grown systems. I expect 99L to become the first.

I think probably 4-5 TS, and 3 hurricanes, a pretty active late August IMO where the main action really kicks in towards a mad September IMO full of Cape Verde systems.

I'm going to say 5 named storms, 3 Hurricanes, 1 major. I never speculate on tracks, it causes too much trouble.
