Jetmaxx - First U.S. landfalling hurricane in 2003: cat-1 near Freeport, Texas on July 27th.
Looks like he's the closest out of all of us. For July Landfalls, everyone else had it hitting somewhere on the East Coast from Florida to the Carolinas except for one hitting Pensacola on July 7.

From several days ago, I've just had this gut feeling about southeast LA for Claudette. Nothing (much) scientific, just a feeling. It certainly can't really be coming right at me (Houston). With so much uncertainty beyond 72hrs, what are the odds of the 5-day track coming true?

Right now I'm thinking Honduras or Belize as an open wave. A piece of her energy may be left behind for some regeneration later.
If she slows down...then she has a chance in 2 or 3 days to come back in the NW CAR. HOwever, she is moving faster than the TUTT right now and that is not good for her.

Sure hope you're wrong, Wx----no offense intended.
I am in New Orleans and we don't need another storm here. We are so water logged right now from Bill and every day afternoon thunderstorms. But who knows, we'll just have to wait and see. Keep us posted. Thanks for the great info you are providing on our site.
