From Katrina to Jerry

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Mon Aug 28, 2006 8:04 pm

Last night there was the real possibility of Ernesto making a run to do the same thing Katrina did before making landfall in South Florida, but as time has progressed it seems Ernesto could do a Jerry ('95) that made landfall in South Florida as a minimal tropical storm. Nevertheless, Ernesto still has the potential to cause severe flooding in South Florida and for those still living under blue roofs this storm could be very bad. Nothing has been set in stone yet but Ernesto has proven that even in 2006 hurricane forecasting in not even close to a perfect science and everyone must be ready for what Ernesto could bring.

Opinions are always welcome,

Sandy.

If Ernesto makes landfall as a Hurricane, I think it will be in the Carolinas, he'll need time to recover from this encounter with Cuba.
