Don't people read and learn?

I respect Derek a ton but he said last night
again, for the 2 millionth time

This is not moving NNW

This will not hit Haiti

This will not hit the Peninsula of Florida

GFS is again showing itself as a useless model

Apparently not going to be correct on at least some of his statement.

Point being you should not say "IT IS NOT" going to do anything as you just don't know!

All bets are off with this one on where it is going, how Cuba will affect it and its intensity after Cuba.

Although I do agree with you, I do remember these things being said last night. I will say I never put to much stock in to anything anyone says .I research for myself watch the trends and the movments listen to the NHC and draw my own conclusions. I ask questions all the time but what I do with the answer is another thing

actually, its looking a bit more likely for a possible east coast Florida hit IMO. THe ridge is outrunning the storm and it may get pulled into the void behind it, into light shear and very hot waters south of the Bahamas.
Then all bets are off as to where it goes.

So it seems there is too much uncertainty with this storm until it gets off the Cuban coast...hell this thing could deteriorate so much that it reforms a new center when it comes off the coast of cuba and then change everything....or it could do a Debby ala 2001? or something like that, i'm not sure of the date. I won't be worried until I see what Cuba does to it.

Yeah, I remember Debby in 2001...We were right here tracking that sucker and was getting all prepared for the South Florida hit and then wham...Storm Cancel!!! I remember there was alot of excitement for that one because we hadn't had a storm make landfall in SFL in quite some time...not since that A storm in 92'.

Personally, after seeing the study on the bad shape the dike around Lake O. is in, I sure hope we don't at a Cat 2 or greater in that area.
