Looking at all the Local Forecast Discussions, it appears to be a big rain event for the Carolinas. Much of North Carolina is in a drought, and the rain would be quite welcome.

The lawns and low areas are still very wet and soggy here as well. Local met said that we need to monitor Ernesto and the days to watch are Thurs, Fri, and Sat.

Here is the long term discussion from the Morehead City NWS:
.LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY/...FORECAST FOR THE
LATTER HALF OF THE WEEK HIGHLY DEPENDENT ON THE TRACK OF ERNESTO.
WENT WITH HPC GUIDANCE WHICH...FOR NOW...HAS THE HIGHEST POPS
THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT.
So as we all can see, it is still way up in the air...

A little rain and a little wind. The carolinas need the rain so this storm will be a blessing.
