Very Scary heat content map for New Orleans

The highest heat content goes just right below New Orleans. A hurricane on the NHC forecast trajectory may (depending on shear and dry air) maintain intensity or even strengthen right up to landfall.

If Ernesto follows a path that takes him near NOLA, he will be a strong cat 3,or cat 4 hurricane.The poor folks in that area :eek:
