When, I read this post, I almost cried (not really, but you know the expression!)...I very much so appreciate people's concern and the fact that someone else sees how battered the NGC is right now. I think those people that are bashing are just jealous that the attention isn't on them...at least thats what my mom used to say! :D

This topic is decidedly unpleasant. Let's hope it ends joyfully.

amen and amen LAwxgal!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you hybridstorm from the bottom of my heart. The entire north central gulf coast is battered and bruised from the past couple of years and yes watching the development and possible track of this storm is upsetting. But all of my family that is living from mobile to NOLA to houston is determined to watch, prepare, and overcome whatever may happen. The folks living along the gulf coast are suvivors and will do what is necessary to get through the already tough times.
Thanks,
Tim

I agree... tracking Ioke is ten thousand times more fun and enjoyable than tracking Ernesto. I'm really hoping and praying you guys on the Gulf Coast get a break.

The track and the latest cone the NHC gave up really isn't something not to hype about. I'm starting to have dreams again of Ernesto. The dream was he rapidly strengthened to CAT3 before getting to Jamaica. The track is dead-on for New Orleans but it will change, but just the fact the cone is right on New Orleans is nothing short of errie. I have no idea what's going to happen but Ernesto could turn into everyone's worst nightmare. I just don't know what to say here.
