The STDS makes it sound like they are . . . but no, nothing to make you think that with the obs.

It looks like Recon is leaving now. They just reported a 50-knot wind, but this was during their ascent.

So, if a surface circulation develops it means it will probably go to TS intensity?

so what was the lowest pressure found... i see 1011mb??? was that the lowest..

I think it was 1010 mb.

During recon the plan found 5kt winds under that "swirl" we see in satelite, so I would think that is where the best chance of an LLC closing off is.

Is the recon that flew into this (along with Chris), out of St. Croix, the same plane that flies out of Keesler AFB?

Yes. They forward deploy to St. Croix to save fuel and time and to gather more data.

However, it also means that the crewmembers are away from their friends and family, working LONG days...
