It's 2006? I could have sworn it was 1997...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

7/3/1 seems a bit low. if an el nino is developing we could have an early cut off to the season, but there is plenty of time for a burst of activity till then

To add some facts to this thread...1997 up to this point was more active then it is now. It had 5 tropical cyclones in 4 tropical storms. In there was a subtropical storm in early june I believe. Then the season just shut down. I hope this season has at least a few powerful fish. Heck 1997 had one.

Let's see? Should we compare this year to a season with the strongest El Nino in recorded history? Hmmmm????

oops, I just wasted 30 secs of my life typing this reply...

This is the second troll thread from this member. They posted one last week that said Chris was going into pensacola as a cat 5 Hurricane and the thread was locked. All this is, is someone trying to get A rise from the board. JMHO

In away based on the super low SOI...Which is making the Atmopshere act some what like a El nino. Maybe El nino like patterns have tooken the Atlantic. This is a serious quastion.

With the overall SOI the way its is its acting more like 2002. Which still had 12 named storms.

These types of threads are usually started by unknowledgable individuals who do not have their facts straight. I normally try to ignore these, but I just had to chime in.

It's a normal freakin' season and we're not even half way through!!!! How many times must that be said?????

As I said, this thread is ridiculous and the first MOD that sees this I'd say 90% they lock it.

If you don't like a thread...don't post in it. It's that simple.
