Wave at 25w

#1 Postby Dean4Storms » Wed Jun 28, 2006 10:38 am

There has been a change that has occured with this wave that many of us may of not noticed. This latest wave exited Africa with very little convection at all, but since it has moved over the Eastern Atlantic the convection has remarkably ramped up. It is a glaring signal that the SST's out there have warmed significantly and that the Azores High is losing its influence with subsidence. If this trend continues we could have a very early start to the so-called Cape Verde season.

For some reason I can't work Java files :(, but I know what one you are talking about. If you saw this at the beginning, it was a pretty big wave, came off and lost most of it's convention and now it has re-fired. This morning I thought I saw a mid-level or even a weak low-level circulation with it, but I haven't got it confirmed.
