1130 AM EDT MON JUN 9 2003

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

A WESTWARD MOVING DISTURBANCE LOCATED IN THE FAR EASTERN TROPICAL
ATLANTIC OCEAN HAS BECOME BETTER ORGANIZED OVERNIGHT. THIS SYSTEM
IS LOCATED RATHER FAR TO THE SOUTH ABOUT 800 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE
CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. IT HAS SOME POTENTIAL FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT
OVER THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.

ELSEWHERE TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH TUESDAY.
