For those without Google Earth, Microsoft has a great little site called http://local.live.com/.
It's similar to Google Earth, except it also incorporates aerial photography taken during 2005 and 2004. US only. Depending on the metro area, you can zoom in and see close details. I already let my parents know they have something strange up on their roof.
I think this could be good to use for those who like the intellectual challenge of our "What If" scenarios.
