Shear History?
hey everyone! I was wondering if there is anywhere I could find records for the average amount of shear over the Atlantic for past years...
either this will be a tough one, or Ill hit myself when someone tells me

One way you can do it is here:
http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/Composites/Day/
Select wind shear as your variable, the dates you desire, and select 850-200 mb (shear needs different altitudes as you know).
I think you can click on buttons or set a range to get the Atlantic and you should be able to select long-term mean to get the average you're looking for.
