Water In The Caribbean and Atlantic

#1 Postby Janice » Tue Mar 28, 2006 4:36 pm

How are the temps in the waters now. Are they normal or a little warmer then usual for this time of the year? I just want to see if it looks like the cane season could start a little early this year.

Thanks, that is great. I will find it and bookmark it so I can check in.

I basically just want to know what indications there are out there that would indicate that we may be starting early with systems this year. Other than warmer than usual waters, what else would I look for?

Thanks

That is great, Cycloneye. I can update a couple times a week and see the difference in the temps. Looks pretty warm now.

well, you would look for low shear, high SST's, low average pressure in the areas around the Carb and Atlantic...and this time of year, a cut-off low or one near the end of a dissipating cold front...oh...and low levels of dry air...;)
