A chance of a May or June TS or 'Cane?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

A chance of a May or June TS or 'Cane?

#1 Postby dixiebreeze » Tue Mar 21, 2006 8:25 am

Given predictions of a early Bermuda High, El Nino and another "busy" Atlantic Hurricane Season, does anyone think these conditions will generate a very early TS or 'Cane?

good morning dixie...i think the chances are enhanced...given the presumably reduced shear over the caribbean associated with the la nina... perhaps less hostile conditions than normal......rich

Good morning WW. I am forever getting El Nino and La Nina mixed up! I'm not sure about early storms, but we sure need rain here on the gulf coast.

It could happen that is for sure. Let us hope not though, because it seems we will have more than enough June - November storms to go around

Hey Boca, thought it was time I got back on the board. Was in the hospital for 6 days with flu and asthma, so glad to be posting again! We got about a a cup of rain an hour or so ago, not enough to really dampen anything much.
