The clock is ticking towards an active and dangerous season

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sat May 31, 2003 6:42 am

Yes I say that word dangerous :o because the pattern shaping up is showing that landfalls in the caribbean, centralamerica or the US coastline is a great possibility so the only thing that all have to do is to be prepared and hope that no hurricanes go to your area.

Have a safe season everyone and you will get complete information about what is going on during the season here on storm2k so stay tuned.

Like all good "hurricane freaks" I have always looked so forward to June 1st, it's like a national holiday! But, for the reasons you mentioned in your post, I am a bit apprehensive this year. While I love a good storm to track, I also realize the deadly repurcussions of these babies. I have lived on the Gulf for 30+ years and have seen a bunch of devastation. Each time I see the damage, I almost feel guilty because of the simple "awe" that I see as well. I pray that those in the line of a storm really take heed to the warnings and prepare themselves. I know we will!

I look forward to tracking and learning. Hopefully Mother Nature will be kind to the populated areas.
