I know there is a mountain of data to be sifted through and much research to be done but has any info come to light recently to start to explain (beyond just conjecture) any significant common links to storms such as Ivan, Rita, Dennis, Katrina etc and why they weakened immediately prior to landfall??? (lord if my high school english teacher saw this run on sentence she would just scream<G>)
thanks
