Could someone explain this?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Could someone explain this?

#1 Postby Coredesat » Tue Feb 07, 2006 7:15 pm

07/1615 UTC 57.3N 41.7W TOO WEAK 99L

There's nothing on NRL and nothing on the model plot page (not even an 89L), and this is not the cutoff low near the Azores. Is this just an error, or did 2005 really screw up the Atlantic?

That location is about the triple point of the fronts associated with the 980hPa low. http://www.westwind.ch/?link=ukmb,http://217.160.75.104/pics/,.gif,bracka
