Not to be forgotten now the 2005 season has a new record in terms of number of hurricanes in a season with 15 after the Cindy upgrade. The numbers are now 27/15/7.Wow what a season that will be remembered in many ways for many decades to come.

Agree completely. If there was always an agreement, it was on Cindy's upgrade.

2005's record (and how disturbing that I'd include # of Cat5s in the record) is 27/15/7/3.

I mean, isn't 15/7/3 an active season?

Don't mean to harp on an overdone topic - this season blew us all away I think.

I agree . I really doubt 06 will see near that number, but im sure it will be busy.We need to remember though to prepare for the worst ,and pray for the best. 05 was a bummer for Fl. but it could of been much worse.

Cindy was pretty powerful in New Orleans knocking down trees and tree limbs all over town. It was kind of a fun storm (can't remember if it was July 4th or 5th, but I was off that day) in that it was a lot of gusty winds (40's, 50's) and several inches of rain. My brother-in-law caught it in Port Fourchon and called me that afternoon. "Say brotha-in-law, it's raining up there?" "No." "Well it will be. We're getting hammered." If I remember, Cindy came in around the Grand Isle/Port Fourchon area and kind of sat down there south of Houma for a couple of hours before hooking off.

Btw, that's when I used to like storms. :)

Hmmmmmm a "fun" storm. It's too bad the same couldn't have been said
about that *itch Katrina. Man how I wish she would have significantly weakened before landfall.
