This one, Typhoon Vamei, may not seem odd at first. Then notice that the equator is just below the cyclone. This hurricane developed 90miles north of the equator and hit singapore.

also there was that hurricane in the south atlantic last year that came ashore and caused deaths in brazil. no path but heres a picture of itImage


There is also talk of a hurricane in the medditeranean. Surely it was something else, but satellites showed a perfect hurricane structure[/img]

Not sure if this was posted yet...

Something to note: this cyclone lasted 31 days! If it was in the Atlantic we would be having really bad headaches.

I guess this is not normally an unusual track, but for November it is a little out of the ordinary. Interestingly, 1985 seemed to be the year of loops and strange tracks as we also saw Elena and Juan that same season.
