Another record if "Zeta" forms. So far we have not used a name that begins with a letter that is not used in the list of names (A - W, excluding Q,U). If "Zeta" forms, it will be the first time, I believe, a letter like "Z" is used to name a cyclone in the Atlantic Basin.

VISIBLE IMAGES SHOW DEEP CONVECTION ORGANIZING IN BANDS AROUND
THE CENTER AND IT IS NOT INCONCEIVABLE THAT THIS SYSTEM COULD

SATELLITE IMAGERY INDICATES THAT AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IN THE EASTERN ATLANTIC HAS DEVELOPED INTO A TROPICAL STORM ABOUT 1000 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF THE AZORES. A SPECIAL ADVISORY ON TROPICAL STORM ZETA IS IN PREPARATION AND WILL BE ISSUED IN AN HOUR OR SO.
