Not sure if it counts, but Tropical Storm # 1 struck Southwest Florida around Ground Hog Day in 1952. Actually the storm track shows that it affected the coast a couple days later, but since it was a February storm, I thought it was worth mentioning even though Ground Hog Day is not an official holiday.
