1935-Labor Day Hurricane
1969-Camille

And really there are many others, but those stick out as ones I would like to have the use of todays technology to observe them.

I dunno, but 2005 sort of does it for me. Going to sleep on three separate occasions to wake up to Cat 5 storms leaves one speechless.

Before this year, I would have been interested in witnessing the 1938 New England storm only because friends in Massachusetts tease me for living in an area that gets hurricanes.

2005 take your pick including going through the most intense Wilma.all season from Katrina,Rita,Wilma you guys were asking will it beat Gilbert well it has finnaly come her name is wilma with an eye that was 2 miles wide.she also had a 2 in it just before landfall in flordia

I agree 100% but will also add 1938 The Long Island Express.
