... the flies carry your sandwich away.
... you're sitting on the beach, a mile away from the water.
... the new port-a-potty you requested to replace the old "leaky" one finally arrives, and as they pick up the old one, your door jams and you can't get out.
... you are so thirsty you go to church in search of "holy water."
... someone asks you for your address and phone number, and you realize you have none.
... the Salvation Army food van follows you down the street.
... you haven't bathed in a week, and no one notices.
... your idea of a good time is standing in line at Wal-Mart.
... you go swimming and your car floats by.
... you're on first-name basis with the dogflies in your house.
... your kids argue over who gets to sleep on the dining room table.
... your house is full of furniture - and you've been desperately trying to find the owners to return it.
... the "new" four-letter-word in your family is FEMA.
... you fear senility is setting in because you can't remember who this "Camille" is that everyone talks about.

You're right... As things go around here now-a-days, the O-N-L-Y way to get by is to find the lighter moments wherever you can. With all the traffic EVERYWHERE, all the stores PACKED out all the time, and VERY limited services in terms of restaurants, entertainment, etc., it seems as though we've been thrown back 30 years. Kinda like a 1970's environment with a 2005 population!!
But yes, many are quite factual and absolutely true. And our family's situation matches many in the list. None-the-less, it makes things easier when we can laugh at the very things that continue - at times - to bring so much grief to so many....
