RIC starting or just a flare up? Cat 5 now??

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

That's because there's no new recon data yet. Once they get there, there'll likely be an update to upgrade it...assuming they find category 5.

They don't just hand out category 5 intensity, it must be confirmed by recon.

The NHC has stated that the satellite presentation is improving and
there is a possibility that Wilma will regain cat 5 strength before
approaching the Yucatan.

Once Recon flies in, they'll find it.

The eye has cleared out, now dark greys are appearing in the southern semicircle.

I suspect Wilma will be a cat 5 over water, and possibly along the coast of
the Yucatan.

Cozumel and Cancun are going to be leveled by this. Sad and tragic,
pray for them.

NO kidding. Cancun will see hurricane force winds for nearly 3 days....that will cause SIGNIFICANT damage.
