What are sarasota folks doing??

Im between fruitville and tuttle in an upstairs condo in a non evac zone.. im wanting to go to a hotel.

Watching and wavering over whether to ride out or leave. We're off of McIntosh south of Fruitville and have 4 cats. We've got lots of batteries, water, a "safe" room and just bought 8 very sturdy waterproof storage bins for important documents, photos, etc....

Sadly, I think these preparations will become the rule rather than the exception for the next decade or so...

Forgot to mention the hanging plants that will have to brought into the garage and the pool furniture that we'll have to throw in the pool...never fun but certainly may be necessary

If you're going to leave, book a room in Crystal River on north. That should be close enough to get back and far enough away from the projected paths.

I touched up my hurricane kit and gassed the cars. Other than that just waiting and watching. Of course, I don't plan to go anywhere anyway. I'm sheltering in place.
