Hype again does not prevail

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Wed Oct 05, 2005 3:19 pm

All I have kept hearing the last few days was "whatever this is will trek across the peninsula and bring us a lot of rain". Only to find out today the darn thing is gonna go northbound apparently.

Not saying I'm mad.. But I kinda like tropical storms. It's fun watching the wind whip out there.

Ok enough said lol..

I agree. We've been hearing it down here to. The SFWMD has been emptying out the canals in preparation for this thing that became Tammy, and the flood watch was issued last night (I know it starts tonight, but still). Better to be safe than sorry I suppose, but this is how complacency begins....

So Tammy doesn't appear to be a worry for us here.. Maybe Victor will be.. Assuming it becomes Victor

Looks like we're gonna get shafted once again. At least we got some good weather from Tammy.

Well, in Savannah, you're not missing much if that is any comfort. :) Lots of rain, but it seemed more windy on Sunday than it has today. I don't want damaging winds, but a good breeze would be nice. (Maybe I'm missing home a little -grew up in the windy city.)

Shafted? You have to remember all the convection will be on the east side...If this came in at say Sarasota you(We) would be in the wettestand nastiest part of the storm...Anything north of Tampa would be Dry..

Looks like Tammy was the distraction for us here in Central Fl. Vince may pay us a visit by this weekend. :(

Looks like this year Florida has been affected by many systems: Arlene,Dennis,Katrina,Ophelia,Rita,Tammy, and now possible Vince.

Only "indirect" hits for Central Fla so far.. Nothing anywhere near what we had last year

Vince may be the 1st one if it takes the paths I've been seeing..
