MILES... 290 KM... WEST-NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA
CALIFORNIA AND ABOUT 90 MILES... 145 KM... SOUTH OF CABO SAN LAZARO
MEXICO.

REPEATING THE 11 PM PDT POSITION...23.6 N...112.6 W. MOVEMENT
TOWARD...NORTH-NORTHWEST NEAR 6 MPH. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED
WINDS... 45 MPH. MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1000 MB.

...OTIS WEAKENS TO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION...

AT 8 AM PDT...1500Z...THE GOVERNMENT OF MEXICO HAS DISCONTINUED ALL
TROPICAL STORM WARNINGS FOR THE WEST COAST OF BAJA CALIFORNIA.

FOR STORM INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO YOUR AREA...INCLUDING POSSIBLE
INLAND WATCHES AND WARNINGS...PLEASE MONITOR PRODUCTS ISSUED
BY YOUR LOCAL WEATHER OFFICE.

AT 8 AM PDT...1500Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION
OTIS WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 25.2 NORTH... LONGITUDE 112.9 WEST OR
ABOUT 45 MILES... 75 KM...NORTHWEST OF CABO SAN LAZARO MEXICO.

THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST NEAR 7 MPH
...11 KM/HR...AND THIS MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE DURING THE
NEXT 24 HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 35 MPH...55 KM/HR...
WITH HIGHER GUSTS. ADDITIONAL WEAKENING IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT
24 HOURS.

ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1006 MB...29.71 INCHES.

OTIS IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE TOTAL RAIN ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3

It was a short lived storm unfortunately.

By the way I was wondering what was the most powerful hurricane to form in the EPAC basin, today I learned about Hurricane Linda from 1997 at it's peak Linda had winds of 185 MPH and a pressure of 900. That was a pretty strong cane!
