SE LA. Weather..

#1 Postby gk1 » Sun Sep 25, 2005 10:01 am

In nine months has been unbelievable:

1. Snow on Christmas Day.

2. T.S. Cindy (maybe Hurricane--really does'nt matter now) in July.

3. Cat. 4 Katrina in August.

4. Rita brushes by in Sept.

Our entire coast has taking an incredible beating this hurricane season.

I've seen pictures of the Houma area; it does not look so good. I've read that the federal government doesn't usually pay very much attention to this area. Why not? Do you think that the Feds will change their outlook?

I wish I knew why we are ignored here. I have water in my home and buisness. My family has been staying in my moms two bedroom trailer, and I called FEMA. They took my info, and told me we are not even declared a disater area. Houma courier artcle estimates 15,000 flooded homes and we are not a disater area? What is going on?

Call your Local and State Emergency Management Agency. They are the one that handle it.
