RITA PRAYER

#1 Postby tropicana » Fri Sep 23, 2005 8:24 am

Prayer for the residents of the Gulf Coast:-

Where is God?

In the aftermath of
one of the worst tragedies
on US soil that was Hurricane Katrina,
and the incredible turmoil and stress of preparing for yet another
major hurricane Hurricane Rita
people ask:
"Where is God?"
They wonder how He could
have allow such devastating events to occur.

God has not abandoned
us on these dark days, even though it may seem like it. He sends us these trials and tribulations to test our mettle,
to put our lives back into perspective, to instill in us the fact that even though we live such hectic lives, in the face of calamity, when all is said and done, what really is most important in our lives is our families and our friends, and not the material things in life. It's what we always knew, but it takes catastrophies like this to put it back on the front burner of our lives.

He brought calm to the city of New Orleans and other cities along the Gulf
Coast that
were in chaos. He will bring calm to Houston and Galveston and other sections of Texas and Louisiana. People are leaving the scene
almost rank-and-file
as if angels are guiding
their every step
and easing their anguish.
It is almost breath-taking and awe-inspiring to see the images on television.

His love is in the heart of every
firefighter, search and rescuer, every official, every lpoliceman and
every volunteer who are all aiding the people in the path of the hurricane.

He is in the soul of every person
who are all waiting for hours upon hours in the massive traffic jams, who face additional burdens of running out of gas and being stranded on the freeways.

He is giving strength to all, easing their burdens and making
their faith stronger that may always have confidence and faith in your
Fatherly care to overcome their fears.
The Lord God always answers His people in their hour of suffering and
comforts us with the great power of His love.

He is guiding many away from the coast, steering them
away from danger.

And as the details of
this crisis unfolds,
more miracle stories,
both large and small,
will come to light.

We must not lose faith
in God or our country.

God will be there for us.
He will guide our leaders
and aid us through this struggle.
We ask God to protect us from this powerful hurricane. And any others to come this season and beyond.

If you begin to wonder
where God is,
remember that he's
always here .
He will be with us always,
just as He promised.

FOR ALL IN THE PATH OF HURRICANE RITA, WE ARE PRAYING FOR THE SAFETY OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

From all your friends north of the border here in Canada.
