3 deaths...people evacuating
3 deaths of specials needs people. One died on the bus ride and the others died at the shelter. This per WWL video

I wish they had more information (though I can see why they don't). They implied that the people died because they were special needs and didn't have the medical care. It sounds as if they were leaving the nursing home on their own -without any caretakers.
really sad - and shows the desperate straits a lot of the people are in...

When you evacuate 1,000,000 people, surely amongst those being transported will be those who's time has come. Maybe the stress of the move shortened their lives by a couple of days, maybe not; but in a population this size, people die every day from natural causes (and from what I've seen on TV about NOLA recently, a quite a few from non-natural causes, too.) I'm not meaning to sound callous, but everyone's time comes eventually.

That wasn't the case here - the people were found dead in the bus - the story I heard seemed to be saying that these 4 people from a nursing home were trying to evacuate on their own without any medical assistance or supervision.
The story implied they were transporting themselves - not being transported.
Did anyone else hear anything different?
