Huge Swell Heading for Texas!

#1 Postby sponger » Fri Aug 26, 2005 11:44 pm

Buoy 42003 ( 260 nm South of Panama City) is showing a 13 foot 11 second period swell heading their way. Normally the NE Quadrant of a hurricane generates the largest swell. However, Katrinas Coma shape is sending the bulk of the swell west.

Beach bound Texans need to stay out of the water the next few days!
