GOM SSTs, TCHP, and SST depth charts

#1 Postby ALhurricane » Wed Aug 24, 2005 10:50 am

Pardon me if somebody has already mentioned this, but I found a one stop shop for water conditions for the GOM..

http://www.aoml.noaa.gov/phod/cyclone/data/go.html

I am surprised nobody has reported the Gulf bubbling yet :D

Seriously though, there is plenty of fuel there for Katrina and other systems down the road.

Great stuff. Thanks!

Now let's hope Katrina doesn't pass that warm eddy off the coast of Louisiana. :P

Thanks, you see why it can develop quickly moving into the GOM. It all depends on forward motion.(10 to 15 , or 5 to 10mph)
