Gulf of Mexico Tropical Summary - GUTS IN on August 20, 2005
<img src="http://www.diamondheadweather.com/guts20050820.jpg">
The Gulf of Mexico is rather quiet, with a strong ridge over the southeast
US providing dry and hot conditions. This will make outdoor life
miserable for the next few days, as well as continue heating the
SST's.
A tropical wave is moving west through the bay of Campeche and will
not develop.
I do not expect tropical cyclone formation in the Gulf of Mexico in the next
72-96 hours.
