The main reason why I think Ivan is cool is after it disapated over the us it was pushed down by the Ridge and formed again over the GOM and it is the only hurricane that i know of that did that.

does any one have any info on why it did that????

Ivan went to France, While a small piece of its energy moved southward off the eastern sea board. Then got pushed back into the Gulf to reform. That doe's not mean that it was Ivan.

It is not a soildly that it was. But I guest if the nhc wents it to be it is.

Also 94L that hit the outterbanks in late June. Was more Oreganized then both Bret or Gert. I'm waiting for the best track for that.

no we are at 93L. 92 and 93L are out there and 92L came B4 93L if you are counting backwards

There was definately some controversy about the situation with Ivan last year. When it occured, it did seem like it was just a piece of it that came back down and the main part accelerated out to sea. But the NHC decided to call it Ivan.

so whould it have been stronger if the whole mass was down there in the GOM the second time

UPDATED: I updated it in a sense



DID YOU KNOW: the 1914 storm season only had *1 storm!!!! Both of which became hurricanes!!!! and the 1933 storm season was the most active with *21 storms!!!!
