so here comes the next load of heavy rain and gales,although the wind is going to be the main feature this time round for Scotland and northen England,or at least thats were the main risk is:

ISSUED BY THE MET OFFICE AT 09:0200 ON SUNDAY, 19 SEPTEMBER 2004.

OVERALL RISK ASSESSMENT: THE PROBABILITY OF DISRUPTION DUE TO
SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS IN PART OF THE UNITED KINGDOM WITHIN THE
NEXT 42 HOURS IS 60 PERCENT.

REGIONAL RISK ASSESSMENT FOR THE OCCURRENCE OF SEVERE WEATHER
CONDITIONS BETWEEN 06:00 ON MONDAY 20 SEPTEMBER 2004 AND 03:00 ON
TUESDAY 21 SEPTEMBER 2004.

SOUTH WEST SCOTLAND 30[ PERCENT
NORTHERN IRELAND 40[ PERCENT
NORTHERN ENGLAND 20[ PERCENT

ALL OTHER REGIONS LESS THAN 20[

THIS IS THE FIRST WARNING OF DISRUPTION DUE TO SEVERE GALES.

THE MET OFFICE IS EXPECTING A VIGOROUS DEPRESSION TO TRACK EASTWARDS
FROM THE ATLANTIC PASSING TO THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND DURING MONDAY.
THIS DEPRESSION IS EXPECTED TO GENERATE GUSTS ON ITS SOUTHERN FLANK
OF LOCALLY 70 MPH OVER EXPOSED COASTS AND 60 MPH INLAND. WITH TREES
IN FULL LEAF THERE IS A RISK OF DISRUPTION DUE TO DEBRIS FROM FALLEN
TREES OR BRANCHES ACROSS ROADS. AT THIS STAGE THERE IS SOME
UNCERTAINTY IN THE TRACK AND INTENSITY OF THE DEPRESSION, ALTHOUGH
ON BALANCE NORTHERN IRELAND, SW SCOTLAND, INCLUDING PARTS OF THE
CENTRAL LOWLANDS, APPEAR MOST AT RISK FROM THE SEVERE GALES.
