True. News reporting has turned into more tabloid type reporting.
Would be nice if they would go back to reporting on the news/weather instead of interjecting
opinions about what's happening.
As for the weather, this type of reporting started back sometime in the late 90's or very early 2000's when The Weather Channel switched from reporting and predicting weather to overhyping storms, special interest shows, and limiting actual weather terms. CNN and the rest followed suit. Someone needs to tell producers that people want weather, not the other crap.
