YIKES!!! I remember too many of those buildings.
Any reports of anything in Niceville? Looks like they are just about through with a major pounding of their own based on radar.

I was stopped at a red light on 12th Ave when the wind picked up to about 50-60mph and huge hail started falling...the traffic lights went out and tree limbs were flying everywhere. Then a line of cop cars came racing up behind us with their sirens on. At first I thought it was a downdraft, then I drove further down the street across Bayou Texar and I could see the whole thing heading towards the Mall. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it was a surreal sight. It was HUGE funnel that looked to be barely touching the ground but I could see a cloud of debris and green flashes. It looked like something from Okalahama City, not the ordinary twisters we get. I started calling everybody on my phone screaming "THERE'S A TORNOADO! THERE'S A TORNOADO!" LOL What a crazy day it has been indeed.
On my way back to GB there was damage and flooding everywhere, even my road is underwater and this is the first time our drains have clogged in many years. Channel 3 news has lots of footage of the damage around town. If you don't need to be out there, please don't go out. Many of the major roadways are covered with powerlines and debris.

Heavy rain there on Thursday/Friday, but not much else. The area is sandy enough that it drained competently even with that much precipitation.
