When is it going to cool down?

#1 Postby Scorpion » Wed Oct 17, 2007 3:47 pm

It has been unseasonably warm lately. The average high is around 85 with a low of 65, yet the next few days we will be flirting with record highs in the low 90's and lows in the mid 70's. It feels really sultry outside right now. There have been years that we have had our first 50's already, but we have yet to get into the mid 60's so far this year.

Want some?

This is my house today:

It's 18 degrees right now at 8:41 PM. They are predicting 10F tonight, but I think it's going to be colder. :cold:

If you want to trade houses for a while, just let me know. I'm not ready for winter yet.

Looks like good World Series weather.

It's a lot colder here than Denver, but even here it's supposed to be back to the low 60's by Tuesday and stay good for a while. Denver is supposed to be mid to upper 70's.

Anyway, back to the original thread, good luck Scorpion. I hope Florida gets some relief soon, if you haven't already.

Lows here are running about 9-10 degrees above average and tomorrow we are on pace for a record high of 92. I'm not complaining though, this extended summer is pretty nice.

What a difference a few hours makes here. At 1:30 it was 80 degrees. At 5pm it is 59 degrees and dropping. I am freezing. :jacket:

We will be lucky to see 59 at all tomorrow, and mostly 60's for the next week!

I think we can officially declare summer OVER.

We've gotten very needed rain out of this also, almost 2 inches. 8-) Still looks cloudy and dreary with drizzle tomorrow. Looks like winter.

I wouldn't be surprised.

It's chilly here! 48 and light rain, it feels like a winter afternoon.

It was hot and miserable today. The breeze didn't evaporate the perspiration on my face but just moved it around some. Now that's humidity.
