saw a amazing light show over the bridge this afternoon

A little over an hour or so ago I was just driving eastbound on the I-10 bridge and approaching a strong storm that was coming over the bay. It was a scary sight coming onto the bridge, there was a huge cloud deck that was nearly black with lightning popping everywhere! Just the 5 minutes it took to cross the bridge I must have seen 30 cloud to ground lightning bolts within a mile. I saw 2 cranes by the bridge get struck directly, that's the closest I've ever seen a lightning bolt while driving. 
And then right after I got off the bridge into Santa Rosa county we were immediatly hit with a blanket of torrential pouring rain.
