We had nearly 1.75" yesterday afternoon. The rain was coming down so hard, that little drops were rebounding off the surface of the pool. With watering restrictions at one day a week here, the rain is very welcome.

After a brilliantly sunny morning today, the mostly-cloudy skies have been darkening on and off but it's remained dry so far. I figure the torrential downpour will begin when my husband gets the grill going in about an hour and a half!

I've been sleeping most of the day, but I did wake up to thunder a little while ago. Now all the rain is on the other coast.

Cool link, I have searched for lightning maps before and could never come up with anything worth while that was free.

It continued to light rain here for at least an hour. Not sure how much rain we got I forgot to empty the gauge. 8-) .29 inches according to my neighbor and his weather station. Sure seemed like alot more than that, anything is better than nutin'.

It feels really tropical outside today up here, strong breeze out of the SE, overcast with a light mist and thunderstorms in the area.
