Okay this is mine. So its about 10:00 at night. I open the window to my bedroom because the wind outside felt good. But it was blowing hard at times around my apartment building even whirring at times. It kept doing this all night. So about 4am i guess, I wokeup to my weather radio going off for a tornado warning for Hinds (the county im in) and Madison county (the county above me). As soon as i jumped awake without listening to it (just the tone) something inside told me this storm was gonna be like one I have never seen before. So i jump up, wake up my family get them taken care of in the Bathroom and go turn on the tv. Now, I have seen storms my whole life but this was the most perfect hook echo I had ever seen (ive been watching storms since I was like 4 or something) and I knew that my gut feeling earlier just might come true. I kept watching and watching this storm get stronger and stronger and I knew with that hook echo looking like it was, the possibilty of a strong or severe tornado was very high. I kept watching that morning and some of the local stations stopped normal programming to keep folks up-to-date. By the time it touched down, I went outside and saw a orange and dark green sky almost like a grassy green color and the clouds were whipping by from the SW QUICKLY. From then on, I have paid much more attention to the storms and looking for that classic hook echo. The thing is here in Mississippi is that they are rain-wrapped.
