Southeast Texas October flood victims...

#1 Postby southerngale » Fri Jan 19, 2007 2:20 pm

You can receive money for repairs if your home, apartment, small business or non-profit organization suffered damage during the October floods.

Newton, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Orange, Polk, Sabine and Tyler Counties were declared disaster areas after the flooding.

The Small Business Administration is offering low interest disaster loans to residents and businesses.

The SBA is taking applications at the Hardin County Courthouse in Kountze and the Newton County Extension Office on Main Street in Newton.

The deadline to apply is March 19.

Consultations are free.
