We are looking at our first minor flood event of 2007. The Ohio River is expected to get close to flood stage within the next couple days causing some problems in the Mon Parking Wharf in Pittsburgh. Also some flooding on some rivers in Ohio including the Muskingum River, Wills Creek, Stillwater Creek, and the Tuscarawas River is expected.

Same thing is going on in Southwest Ohio too. Great Miami and Ohio rivers near Cincinnati are both going to get above flood stage.

10th Street Bypass will also probably be underwater at some point. But I think the 10th street bypass is already closed for construction, for the expension of the light rail service that is going from Gateway Center over towards the North Shore.

Yeah they did mention that it would cause some problems on the construction of the subway extensions. I dont think it will cause any flooding on the 10th st bypass. Latest forecasted crest has it at 21.3'. Flooding starts at 22'.

Ohio River at Cincinnati is now going to remain below flood stage. Flood stage is 52 feet and the river will crest around 47'.

The news along the Great Miami at Miamitown, Ohio (western suburb of Cincinnati) is better as well. They were expecting a crest of 25', then revised it backward to 22', then up to 24'....it never reached any of those. It crested at 20.4' and is now almost back in its banks at 17'. Flood stage there is reached at 16'.

That's good news. Just a few reports of minor flooding here along some creeks and along the Mon Wharf in Pittsburgh. Other then that, not too much to talk about.
