Does a Tornado feel like mass amounts of pressure?

With these rain storms, there was a Tornado warning..now livin in Miami I've seen so few tornados in my life you usually ignore them, but around 2:30am, I remember waking up to this horrible pressure sound in my ears, and it was something I don't recall feeling before ever. Is it possible a twister came around nearby to cause this, or any other ideas?

Not sure, but when was the Tornado Warning? We've had a Watch, and it is valid until 6am. I've been watching, did I blink and miss a Warning??

				It's ok, I was puzzled.

I'm not sure myself, it'd be interesting if there are any reports of tornados.

Well at 2:30 in the morning your mind can also play tricks with you. May be this was just a dream? Even if not, you would probably have seen on the news by now, or seen outside that a tornado had come close by.

I've seen a Mesocyclone and all I noted was it was dead silent.

were you far away? The times I have been through Mesocyclonic storms I can recall lots of wind, and a wind direction change. There was also usually hail (which is loud).

Good question. I would say probably yes. Eyewitness accounts many times will say they feel a pressure drop as the tornado approaches. However, I do not believe there were any reported tornadoes in Florida yesterday.

A good discussion but this thread will be moved to the USA Weather forum.
