Major wind and thunderboomers in Galveston

#1 Postby GalvestonDuck » Mon Jul 07, 2003 7:55 pm

...just out of the blue.

Or out of the Gulf, I should say.

I was out driving along the Seawall after my workout and we saw the dark clouds moving inland. Major beautiful lightning strikes out at sea. Wish I'd had my camera because the clouds were awesome to look at, towering up like dark castles over the water.

It's moved ashore now. Haven't checked to see how fast winds are blowing but the palm trees were bending almost as bad as they were with Allison. Almost. So, I'm guessing winds of about 50 mph or so.

Gonna log off now and protect my computer.

Take care all,
~Duck
